Wonderful art work Are they for sale?

- Mary Saurez--Miami

I heard about the show in Yuma while I was visiting Melba in New York in early November. I wish I had known about it because I would love to have come to the opening. Louise was always very supportive of me and my brother when we were growing up and I won't ever forget her encouragement and generosity. If there is a mailing list for anything in the future, I hope you will include me.

- Pam

A wonderful tribute to an obviously talented and special lady.

- Andy Newman, Miami

Hank - these are wonderful pictures! Thank you for sharing them with us, what a great testament to your mom! I'm sorry more Mohlers couldn't be there; the party at the the gallery looked lovely. Well done!

- Ann Mohler

Thank You for the Photos. Mom and Dad (Peter and Saron Mohler) had a wonderful time. I get to attend the memorial by your e-mail and photographs.  It is special.

- John D. Mohler

Louise, with her long and beautiful gray hair, was a real beauty, a handsome Western woman. Authentic -- not a phony -- and direct. She had what I call X-ray vision -- she could read people quite well, and in some ways, saw all of us as human works of sculptural art, with our individual styles, sense of color, and daily presentation. She understood the world in visual terms, and certainly saw the poetry of everyday life in all of the people she came in contact with. She had an infectious laugh and a solid wit.

I am thankful that Louise was part of my life way back then, and thankful that she continues to inspire me to this day. I miss you, Louise -- we all do.

- John Haworth, New York City, and director of the National Museum of the American Indian's George Gustav Heye Center in lower Manhattan (Arizona Commission on the Arts 1972-75)

It is nice to have such a wide variety of Louise's work in one spot.

I just wanted to say that it has been an honor to be a part of this project. I'm happy to have been chosen to build this special website to share Louise Tester's life and work. I've been told that she brought many people to Yuma for the arts and although I never had the chance to meet her, I feel as though she had a hand in guiding me through the making of her website. I'm now inspired to do more with my own artwork.

- Ty "Webmaster"
